THANK YOU JESUS

You died for our sins to repay the debt that began with Adam and Eve and made us have to die.  But you conquered death and walked out the other side so that we, your chosen people, could do the same.  We are your followers, Jesus.  We’re only waiting for you to come back in The Rapture.

It’s God’s fault that Adam and Eve sinned – besides, why couldn’t God just forgive everyone without having to torture-kill his kid?

How do you mean it’s God’s fault that Adam and Eve sinned? For giving them free will?

And it’s not gods fault that children die from incurable diseases? You may say he does not kill them, but doesn’t save them from dying either. So how can he be benevolent if he allows them to suffer. If he chooses to let them suffer your god is malevolent. Perhaps you’re god cannot save them, perhaps it is the devil who does this evil. Then your god is not all-powerful, is he? Maybe he does not actually notice, perhaps he has too much to do and doesn’t get round to the sick child. Then your god is not all-knowing. He probably is not aware that I have argued that he is a pretty pathetic deity.

Either way, your god is not all-knowing, all-powerful or caring. Sounds like a pretty average god, why would you worship a monster or a useless god?

Without abuse or name-calling, please dismiss my argument. Otherwise shut up.

You just don’t understand. When a Christian cihild dies, he or she goes up to Heaven to be with God. Nothing better could evr happen.

And if they’re not baptised or christened or whatever? Or their parents are of another faith? Is the poor child hell bound because his parents picked the wrong religion? It is a lottery as to which religion you follow anyway. You are only Christian because you live in a Christian country. If you were born in Saudi Arabia you would be a Muslim, in India a Buddhist and so on. So how do you know you’ve got the right one? Or like the sick child of the wrong faith, are you hell bound?

You’re a arrogant athiest. You people just can’t understand no matter how many times. I’m not a athiest because of Saudi Arabian, I’m a Christian because I can feel Christ’s hand on my shoulder in life.

That doesn’t make any sense! I never said you were Saudi Arabian or an atheist! I merely said that your upbringing produced your faith. You cannot honestly claim that if you were born in a non-christian country you would be a Christian just because, as you claim, you ‘can feel Christ’s hand on your shoulder in life’. You would instead claim that it is Allah or Mohammeds hands you feel. To disagree with that is to ignore the fact that their are more than 4 billion non-christians on this earth. Most are non-christian because they were bought up something else. And then there are smart enough to become athiests! 😉

As for ‘torture-killing’ his son. People did the torturing (proving their hatred of him) and it was a kind of dare for God to step in. As for his death? In those times Jews would have to slaughter a lamb for forgiveness (see the Jesus – Lamb reference). After Jesus died for our sins their was no reason for animal sacrifice because his blood covered the tab. Believe me, before reading up on it I wondered the same thing.

As for athiests – if you truly don’t believe in any afterlife or ‘hocus-pocus’ – why even visit a site like this? Wouldn’t it be meaningless?

I don’t believe in Smurfs – do you see me on the lookout for people that do? Would I attack a practicioner of the smurftan religion? Well…I might think their nuts but I wouldn’t have a hatred for them because as a smurfiest I wouldn’t believe in them in the first place.

Interesting little historical tidbit – believe it or not – the Romans used homosexuals to do their torturing; found them to be more sadistic

there’s a hint to this in mel gibson’s ‘the passion’
